Efficacy and safety of pulmonary vein isolation with irrigated radiofrequency balloon with a zero-fluoroscopy protocol

Introduction From the beginning, use X-ray (XR) has been a critical component in both guidance and development arrhythmia ablation procedures. Despite non-fluoroscopic navigators, single-shot techniques for atrial fibrillation procedures still rely almost exclusively on XR. Recently, Heliostar® irrigated radiofrequency balloon developed, which can be completely visualized Carto 3® navigation system. This special feature makes it possible to minimise XR this type procedure or even suppress it. We present our first experience after implementation "zero-XR" protocol procedure.
